Bubbles are elements that cover pieces. You can get rid of pieces with bubbles by making matches with them or by detonating power-ups (lightning bolts remove all pieces with bubbles along with regular pieces of the same color).

Geysers produce bubbles on the field. You need to make matches or detonate explosive power-ups next to geysers to produce bubbles. You can't get rid of or move geysers.
