1. Enter Edit Mode by tapping the blue button in the upper-right corner of the screen, then tap the green cross button.

2. Select the transparent house icon (fourth from the left), at which point all your buildings will disappear.

This mode only shows building symbols and decorations that don’t get in your way while editing the landscape, roads, and fields.
