What are Teams?
Teams are the updated version of the old Co-ops.
All features remain, with several improvements.
What roles are available?
There are now three roles:
Leader – full management rights.
Co-leader – up to 5 per team; can manage most functions but not the Leader.
Member – regular participant without special rights.
The Elder role has been removed.
All old Elders were converted into Co-leaders (even if this exceeded the normal limit).
How does leadership transfer work?
If the Leader leaves, leadership goes to the longest-standing Co-leader.
If there are no Co-leaders, it goes to the oldest Member in the team.
If the Leader is inactive for 60 days, leadership is automatically transferred in the same way.
How many people can join a team?
A team can have up to 50 members.
What types of teams are there?
Open – anyone can join without approval.
Closed – players must send a request, which the Leader or Co-leader can accept or decline.
The By request type is no longer supported.
Old Closed teams were automatically converted into By request when the change was introduced, but since that type has now been removed, only Open and Closed teams remain.
How do invitations work?
Leaders and Co-leaders can invite friends from their profile.
The invite option in towns is no longer available.
What is the activity indicator?
Each team has an activity level: non-active, low, medium, or high.
It’s based on how many lives, products, cards, and Regatta tasks the team completes.
What changed in team chat?
Chat now supports:
Requests for lives (every 4h, max 5 or 8 with Town Pass).
Requests for products (every 4h).
Requests for collection cards (1 per 24h, only duplicates, no golden cards).
Requests for city help (trains and planes).
What about achievements?
There are now 12 team achievements (previously 14).
Zoo-related achievements were removed.
Rewards are decorative frames only (symbols removed).
What changed in the Regatta?
Unlocks at level 12 (Teams Center).
Teams of up to 50 players can participate.
No cooldown after taking tasks.
Task limits increased by league:
Wooden: 9
Copper: 11
Steel: 13
Silver: 15
Gold: 17
Team emblems and names now appear in leaderboards.
Are there penalties for switching teams?
Yes, leaving and joining teams too often applies cooldowns:
2nd leave in 24h → 5 minutes
3rd → 10 minutes
4th → 30 minutes
5th → 60 minutes
6th → 90 minutes
7th or more → 120 minutes (max)
Cooldowns reset if you don’t switch for 24 hours.
Requests to Closed teams bypass cooldown if accepted.
✨ Teams and the Regatta now offer bigger groups, better chat, clearer activity tracking, and smoother competitions!
