What is the Academy of Industry?

The Academy of Industry unlocks at level 22. Here you can upgrade factories, trains, and islands.

Upgrades require ingots, which are produced in the foundries.

Factory upgrades

In the Academy of Industry, you’ll see a list of factories available for upgrades. Using ingots, you can:

• increase the profit from selling factory goods at the Helicopter Pad;
• increase the amount of experience earned for producing goods;
• reduce the production time of all goods at the factory;
• unlock an extra shelf for finished products.

You cannot upgrade only one characteristic of a factory. To unlock all possible upgrades, you’ll need to gradually level up all characteristics.

At higher levels, more upgrades become available for each factory.

Train upgrades

You can also upgrade trains in the Academy of Industry. Using ingots, you can:

• increase the amount of experience for loading train cars;
• reduce the train’s travel time.

As with factories, you cannot upgrade only one characteristic — upgrades apply to all stats gradually.
