You can improve each hero's abilities in several ways:
🌀 Every ability has 10 levels, and you can upgrade them in the Hero Menu.
🌀 Each level increases the effectiveness of the ability. For example, if the ability inflicts damage, it will deal more damage when upgraded.
🌀 Upgrading requires a resource called nephrite. The rarer the hero, the more nephrite is needed for the upgrade.
You can obtain nephrite in three ways:

Find and use nephrite statues during expeditions.

Purchase nephrite with gold in the Merchant’s shop under the General Goods tab.

Purchase nephrite with mimic coins in the Merchant's shop under the Elemental Dungeon Goods tab.
How to Upgrade a Hero's Ability?

Click on the helmet icon to access the Hero Collection.

Select the card of the hero whose ability you want to improve.

In the hero menu, navigate to the Abilities tab.

There you’ll see a list of the hero's abilities. Click on the icon of the ability you wish to upgrade. A description will appear on the right.

At the bottom of the description, click the Upgrade button to improve the hero's ability.
Please note: There are a total of four types of nephrite used to upgrade abilities. As ability levels increase, rarer types of nephrite are required.
